SAFETY REGULATIONS
' AMMONIUM NITRATE WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. Safety regulations for the carrying of ammonium nitrate fertiliser to eliminate the possibility of further explosions like those at Texas City and Brest are announced. The new regulations, which apply to ail shipments for occupied Europe and Asia, require the posting of a continuous fire watch during loading and prohibit the shipment of explosives or sulphur on vessels carrying ammonium nitrate fertiliser.
