LOAN FOR HOLLAND
WORLD BANK ISSUE RECONSTRUCTION WORK WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. The World Bank has granted the Netherlands a loan of 195,000,000 dollars to be devoted exclusively to the reconstruction of productive facilities in the Dutch homeland. The bank specifically stipulated that none of the proceeds of the loan will be applied to the Netherlands East Indies or for military purposes. The loan is for 25 years at an interest rate of 31 per cent, plus an additional commission, under the bank rules, of 1 per cent yearly on the outstanding portion of the loan to build up a special reserve.
