DEATH IN ENGLAND
COMMODORE ROTHERMAN (PA.) AUCKLAND. Aug. 12. Commodore E. Rotherman, formerly naval officer in charge at Auckland, superintendent of the dockyard at Devonport and director of naval recruiting. has died in England. He was appointed to the New Zealand command in 1940 and arrived in 1941. He was promoted from captain to commodore second-class in 1940. When tie returned to England at the beginning of 1943 he was appointed director of the King Alfred Naval Training School. MINISTER’S DEATH The death is announced of Mr. H. F. G. Bridges, Canadian Minister of Fisheries.
