STAFF CHANGES
P. AND T. DEPARTMENT •Seva -al staff changes have taken 'place-in tiie Gisborne office of the Pos . and Telegraph Department during tiie past two weeks, three men going to uie Wellington office on promotion and another returning to the Gisborne office after long overseas service. Mr. H. F. Alen, who has been staff officer in the clerical branch at Gisborne for some time, has left for Wellington to join the headquarters staff as a junior inspector. To ••enlace Mr Alen. Mr. ,T. S. Kerr lias been appointed to the Gisborne office ar.d took up his new duties last week. Mr. Kerr 'served overseas with tiie Postal Unit of the Second N.Z.E.F.. and later went to Japan with the first J Force. He was in tiie Gisborne office prior to tiie war. Another member of the clerical branch in Gisborne. Mr. J. R. Stevens, has been transferred to the office of the chief telegraph engineer. Wellington, while Mr. P Stewart a telegraphist in Pm Gisborne office for some time, tock up a new appointment in the telegraph office in Wellington last week.
