Plans for die return of tiie British High Commissioner, Sir Patrick Duff, from Britain are indefinite as Lady Duff has to undergo an operation in London.—P A
Mr. Harry Holford, accompanied by Miss Holford. leave by plane tomorrow for Auckland on their return to South Africa. They sail from Auckland by the Largs Bay for Capetown, via Australia. Mr.Holford hopes to return to New Zealand next year.
Mr. James McKenzie, Seaward Downs has agreed to accept nomination as a member of the southern ward of the New Zealand Dairy Board, a position held by Mr. W. G. McCartney, Christchurch. Because of his appointment as a members of the Dairy Commission Mr. McCartney will automatically retire from the board. —P.A.
