NO DECISION MADE YET (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 3. A policy decision on the question of the employment of WAACS in (lie postwar regular forces had not yet been reached by the Government, but all aspects of the question were berng considered. said the Minister of Defence, Mr. F. Jones, yesterday. The Minister added that expected to announce the decision at an early date. If it were decided to include women in the Army they would serve as soldiers. they would wear uniform, and would be remunerat' , d under the special pay schedule laid down for a V/AAC. it was agreed, said Ihc Minister, that there were many suitable avenues of employment in the services for women, but other factors existed which made such employment uneconomic.
