BRIDE FETED
Prior to Her marriage, Miss Shirely Griffin was guest of honour at a miscellaneous evening given by her sister. Mrs F. Foster. Ormond road, 36 young people being entertained with musical items on the piano accordian by Mr Patterson and ukelele played by Mr L. Neill. The gift parcels were opened by one of the bride-elect's bridesmaids, Miss Shirley Nowell. A black suit embroidered with white sequins was worn by the guest of honour. At a kitchen evening for the same bride, games were enjoyed by the guests of Miss Shirley Nowell at her home in Tui street. The guest of honour was looking smart m a suit of floral linen and her hostess was in a blue wool georgette frock. Following supper the parcels were opened.
