SHEEP VALUES UP BEEF PRICES HOLD tP.A.) . AUCKLAND, April 24, An average yarding of beef tor which there was a steady demand was penned at Westfield yesterday! Values tor all classes were on a par with last week’s rates. Sheep were penned in small numbers ana competition was Keen. Values improved 3s to 4s lor prime wethers and prime ewes were Is to 2s higher. Lamas also were penned tn less than average numbers and sold readily at very arm vaiues. There was a good yarding of calves and Bidding was steaay lor prime runners and veaiers, values generally being on a par with iate quotations. Very few pigs were uttered. Prices lor pork increased. Bacon met with a ready sale at last week's prices.
