AINTREE PROSPECTS PRINCE REGENT FAVOURED (Special Correspondent). (10 am.) LONDON, March 25. The Grand National, which is to be run at Aintree on Saturday,‘will be worth over £12,000. At the final acceptance of the horses entered, 66 were left, including last year’s winner, Lovely Cottage, the 1940 winner, Bogskar, Jack Findlay, last year’s runner-up, Macmoffat, who has twice been placed, and three who completed the course last year, Prince Regent, Housewarmer and Schubert. Prince Regent, owned by Mr. J. V. Rank, with T. Hyde up. carrying the top weight of 12st. 71b., is favourite at seven to one. Other odds are:— Lovely Cottage, owner. Mr. J. Morant, rider, R.
