DOMINION LEAGUE TEAM BAN ON MID-WEEK GAMES (10 a.m.) LONDON. March 25. The Rugbv League Council will meet at Leeds on April 1 to consider the suggestion by the Home Secretary,- Mr. Chuter Ede, that the 12 mid-week fixtures tentatively arranged for the New Zealand team’s tour should be reduced to six, which would mean a tour of 26 matches. 20 of them on Saturdays and holidays. The Daily Telegraph says that the council may have to decide whether to allow the tour to continue. Mr. Chuter Ede said there was no hope of lifting the ban on mid-week sport this season and hinted at a continuance of the ban next season.
