MUSIC SOCIETY
PIANO GROUP EVENING The final meeting of the 1946-47 year of the British Music Society, Gisborne, was held in the music room last Wednesday evening, there being a large attendance. A very enjoyable programme was heard, ft included pianoforte solos by the Misses Lucy Brook and Margaret Allen, Messrs. D. Dyer and Harold Andrews and pianoforte duos by Mesdames Leslie and Smith and Messrs. D. Dyer and J. Roderick. A guest artist from Wellington. Mrs. Johansen, contributed two vocal solos _ which were very much enjoyed. Messrs. McFarlane. Margoliouth, Lyle and Kohn. also guest artists, played an appreciated string quartet number. A musical quiz session was conducted by Mr. Strachan. The annual meeting is to be held on April 2.
