MR. WILLIAM TAYLOR
WELL-KNOWN WAIROA MAN
(S.R.) WAIROA. Dec. 11. The death occurred in Wairoa early this morning of Mr. William Taylor following a lengthy illness. Mr. Taylor, who was 69 years of age, came to the Dominion in 1912, taking up a position of health inspector. Later he obtained a post as the first secretary of the Wairoa Hospital Board, but subsequently he relinquished it to taice over the secretaryship of the Wairoa Harbour Board. He retired from the board a few years ago and bad been living since in retirement in Wairoa. He was worshipful master of Lodge Waikaremoana. a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge, a past president of the Wairoa County Club and Wairoa Bowling Club and up to his death one of the very few remaining original members of the Wairoa Golf Club. “ c was also a warden of St. PauJ s Church for many years. . . , Mr. Taylor leaves a wife and family of two. Mrs. John Williamson and Mr. Rowland Taylor, both of Wairoa.
