Ban on Goods For South Africa
The Ceylon Government has announced that the export of gunnyhags to South Africa has been stopped. The ban follows a protest by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Bombay that Ceylon was not enforcing sanctions imposed by Indians against South Africa, allowing Indian goods to be exported through Ceylon.
