14 SQUADRON
CHANGE IN COMMAND (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. The Minister of Defence, Mr. F. Jones, announced to-day that Squadron Leader D. F. St. George, D.F.C.. was taking over command of 14 Squadron. Japan, replacing Squadron Leader de Willimoff. who was due for repatriation. j Squadron Leader George entered the | R.N.Z.A.F. on Ihe outbreak of hostilities and served as an instructor and did a fighter tour of the Pacific with 17 Squadron, which he later commanded for two more tours. He then attended a fighter leaders’ course in the United Kingdom and on his return was appointed director of operations.
