PRODUCTION CENSUS
FULL DETAILS REQUIRED NEW BRITISH MEASURE LONDON, Dec. 5. Information required for an annual census of production in Britain is listed in the Government’s Census Bill published to-day. The bill makes it compulsory for all firms to disclose the nature of their business and associations with other businesses, the number of staff, the nature of the work performed, salaries paid, output including details of sales deliveries and sevices, lists of articles acquired or used, costs including costs of sub-contracts receipts, and payments of outstanding debts, the amount of power used or generated, details of fixed capita! assets, and the valuation of plant and premises. The bill provides for a fine of up to £SO for failure to supply information, and in addition for fines of £lO for each day the information is not furnished.
