PRESIDENT RESIGNS
INTERNATIONAL BANK SPECULATION ON CAUSE (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 5. The resignation of M. Eugene Meyer as president of the International Bank has created considerable concern and discouragement over the outlook for the entire structure of the new organisation for international financing, says the New York Times’ financial editor. Meyer’s resignation has caused considerable speculation as to whether it is a result of strong differences of opinion at high-policy levels.
