U.S. ARMY MOVEMENTS
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (10 a.m.) WASHINGTON. March 24. The War Department announced that the army had imposed a black-out on the location of divisions and large troop units in the United Stales and abroad. .. . The action affected only the official army announcements and did not prevent the newspapers from publishing information.
The officials declined to comment whether the decision related to the current international situation and added that there were several reasons for the action, including sudden changes in troop movements which caused confusion and upset soldiers’ families.
