LATE MR. F. C. BRIANT
MANY ATTEND FUNERAL The funeral of the late Mr. F. C. firiant. Ngatapa, was held yesterday at the Taruhcru cemetery. There was a large attendance at both the service, which was held at Cochrane’s chapel, and at the graveside, indicating the widespread esteem in which the late Mr. Briant was held. There were approximately 60 cars in the cortege. The mourners included a large group of returned servicemen, each of whom at the graveside cast a poppy on to the casket, after which the “Last Post” was sounded.
