NEW SEASON’S OFFICERS
POVERTY BAY GOLF CLUB The election of officers at the annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Golf Club was a formality, as one of the nominees for committee seats withdrew’, leaving only the required number of candidates. The officers tor the new season are: President, Mr E. M. Hutchinson ; vice-presidents, Messrs E. \V. Nolan, (J. M. Dodgshun and N. H. Bull; club captain, Mr J. 0. Musgrave; committee, Messrs E. E. Jenkinson, I. H. O’Meara, M. W. Howe, A. K. Smith, W. D. Barker, M. J. Brownlie, 0. O. Hansen and A. W. Harper; secretary and treasurer, Mr K, AV. J. Edwards; hon. auditor, Mr R. Dobson. It was stated by the chairman. Mr G. \V. AVillock, that with the breaking of the drought there was' every reason to expect a good growth of grass on the Awapuni links, and the committee was recommended to make, an early start with preparations for the new season. It was estimated that with fair conditions during the next few weeks it should be possible to commence play in April.
