SPORTING ATTRACTIONS
AUCKLAND'S HOLIDAY (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 29. Business was at a standstill in the city to-day, which is the Anniversary Day holiday. With essential war work no longer necessary, many were enjoying their first free Anniversary Day for some years. The weather was overcast but fine. The harbour regatta is the most spectacular sporting attraction, though both the races at Ellerslie and the finals of the Auckland tennis championships are popular with holiday-makers.
