Vassil Kolarov, a Communist leader who recently returned to Sofia from Moscow, reports Reuter’s correspondent The,-deputies took the new oath —in the name of the people. The Royal address nowhere mentioned the King. While the Assembly was meeting crowds gathered outside and continuously shouted: “We want a republic!”

One of the three Regents present promised that the new Parliament would urgently consider an adjustment constitution to democratic reforms since the liberation and make every effort to improve relations with Britain and America.
