CHARGE OF MURDER
MANUNUI TRAGEDY
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. Dec. 17. Arrested on Saturday, December 8, and charged with the murder of his wife, Ivan Manfred Kahu, aged 27,_ a Maori labourer, appeared in the Police Court this morning.
Kahu was charged that at Manunui on December 8 he murdered Hine Kahu. Senior-Detective Trethewey said that by arrangement with counsel for the accused he asked that Kahu be remanded to appear at Auckland on January 14. The accused consented to this remand, which the justices granted.
