DEATH ON HONEYMOON

POPULAR NAPIER GIRL MARRIED ONLY EIGHT DAYS The sudden death while on her honeymoon of Mrs. Dilys Glynne Hunt occurred on Sunday at Te Puia. Mrs. Hunt had been married only eight days, and with her husband was spending her honeymoon at Te Puia Springs when she was taken suddenly ill and died within a few hours. She had attended the pictures the night before and on Sunday morning complained of feeling ill. Later she suffered a severe headache and lapsed into unconsciousness and passed away. \The only daughter of the late Mr. E. Jones and Mrs. Jones, Napier, Mrs Hunt was a well-known and popular Napier girl. She had been employed at several large business offices in that town and was recognised as having many capabilities and possessing a bright disposition. For many years she was treasurer to the Napier Skating Club and was the skating “queen” at one of the recent queen carnivals there. She was a prominent member of the Y.W.C.A. and was actively associated with the work of the Red Cross as a V.A. A keen church worker, she was a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist kindergarten. Mrs. Hunt’s husband. Flight Lieutenant Selwyn Maurice Hunt, returned to New Zealand early this year after being a prisoner of war in Italy, and after his escape at the time of the Italian collapse was interned in Switzerland.
