PACIFIC LEVELLING UP MR. BERENDSEN’S VIEWS (10 a.m.) SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 24. The New Zealand Minister, Mr. C. A. Berendsen, addressing the Englishspeaking Union, declared it was the white man’s responsibility in the Pacific to level up the good things of life. He said that 15,000,000 members of the white race could not hope to maintain their privileged position among millions of people of other races. They could not do it because it was not right.
