FIRE IN BACON FACTORY

(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 25. Prompt action by the Eltham Fire Brigade prevented serious loss by fire to the bacon factory of J. C. Hutton (New Zealand), Limited, yesterday. The fire started in the smoke-house attached to the bacon-curing department and though structural damage to the room and roof resulted the flames were prevented from spreading to the main store room.
