NAVAL AIR ATTACKS
FORMOSA AND BONINS WASHINGTON, Jan. 3. A communique issued by the United States Pacific Fleet Headquarters says that carrier-based aircraft struck at enemy installations on Formosa and Okinawa Jima yesterday. Liberators bombed two Jima airstrip installations on Monday. Bombers struck at Ukimuratown ’on Haha Jima in the Bonins. Fighters strated Rota, Babelthaup and Yap.
