MORE U.S. LANDINGS
ISLAND OF MINDORO 25 JAP. SHIPS SUNK WASHINGTON, Jan. 3. General MacArthur, Allied Com-mander-in-Chicf in the Philippines, announced that American forces have made new landings on Mindoro island without opposition. American bombers sank or set on fire 2d Japanese ships west of Luzon island on Monday.
