DAMAGE IN NAGOYA
‘SUPER-FORTRESS’ ATTACK LARGE FIRES IN CITY (10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 4. A 20th Air Force communique says that Super-Fortresses attacked industrial targets in Nagoya yesterday and accompnsned dayhgnt visual bombing. narge fires were observed in the target area. The preliminary reports of the returning crews revealed good results in this fourth mission to Nagoya. Moderate fighter opposition was encountered. The ''iiak” was meagre and inaccurate. One Super-i'oriress was lost. Xney destroyed one enemy plane, probably aestroyect nine and damaged a number of others.
