SUICIDAL FIGHTER
SUPER-FORT RAMMED SAIPAN BASE REACHED (9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 5. The United Press’ correspondent on Saipan says a Japanese lighter rammed a Super-Fortress at a high altitude over Tokio on Sunday, ripping out part of one engine and its nacelle, but the bomtoer reached Saipan safely. The fighter smashed into another enemy fighter and both plunged to the ground.
