Advice has been received in Gisborne by air mail of the removal of all New ZealarideVs in the prisoner-of-war camp No-. 52, Italy, to'camp No. 57. " '• ■ '■' - - * A letter containing this advice has been received .by Mrs.‘A. L.'Morrison from her husband, Ayho'is-a-corporal in the medical unit." It was dated December 22 Athe'day on which-’the removal was to "take place. - Camp No. 52 is'near Genoa, which up to the time of Writing had 'been receiving much attention from the R.A.F. boriibers. " Camp No. 57, to which the New Zealanders in No. 52 were to [ be removed, -ife'-nehr Udine-, close to the Austrian border. '' ■ “This has upset our Christmas arrangements,” Corporal Morrison wrote, “but we had our Christmas dinner on Sunday—plum duff, coffee arid milk, egg ‘flakes and chocolate out of the last parcel 'you sent;"- - 'All the New' Zealanders had a- good .blow-out, believe me.” Corporal Morrison was among the New Zealanders who was captured in Libya 18 months "ago.
