RHODESIAN ARRESTS
SUBVERSIVE ELEMENTS COPPER MINING AREA (British Official Wireless.) (10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Oct 5 The Colonial Office states that because certain elements on the copper belt have been deliberately fomenting subversive agitation against the war effort during the past few months, the Government of Northern Rhodesia has detained three of the individuals concerned. . The Governor appealed' to officials of the mine workers’ union to use their influence to prevent any disorders, intimating that the Government is fully resolved to take all the necessary steps to maintain law and order. «
