Kaiti Reach Again

Sir,—The Borough Council does not seem to realise that it is taking a very unfair advantage of the boys in the armed forces by forcing the issue of the removal of the bacnes whilst most of them are away. Over 25 of the boys interested in the beach baches are in uniform or due to go into camp shortly. They will hardly appreciate the council’s i effort in taxing advantage of their absence to deprive them of one of the most valued boons of their peace-time existence. Also they will have to leave it to the women to see about the uemolition of the baches if they have to be pulled down and it will mean tne destruction of quite a valuable piece of property. The removal of me baches seems to be an “idee fixe’ with most of the council members. There is still plenty of room for picnickers on the beach and have noi the people who have been paying for sues for years any rights? The accupiers of baches have swarms of v'isitors during the summer season who use their conveniences to picnic, on the beach. Do not these people ■count either? WAR EFFORT.
