AMERICAN BASKETBALL

The Air Training Corps’ American basketball team by no means had things their own Way when they met St. Mary’s A 1 side itl a challenge match at the y.IVLC.A. on Tuesday night. The girls quickly adapted themselves to the new rules and caused greajt excitement when they opened the scoring shortly after the start. The bpys appeared to have a bit more in reserve, however, and made the game harder when they found that they were npt doing os well as they had expected. Play was fairly even throughout, and the match ended in a win for the Air Cadets by 28—15. The second game, between High School and Y.M.C.A., soon drove the spectators away. It was ragged and with too much bunching, High School running out comfortable winners by 88—ip.
