PERSONAL
Mr. F. Tolerton, who has been in a private hospital in Gisborne for the past month, is reported to be progressing favourably and expects to return home within 10 days. Those present at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council were the Mayor, Mr. N. H. Bull, Messrs. M. J. White, G. D. Muirhead, ,T. 11. Hall, IT. H. DeCosta. G. Bradley Smith, R. Morse, G. J. Jeune, and Dr. A. L. Singer, The town clerk, Mr. W. M. Jenkins, was absent through illness, and his . place at the council table was taken by the accountant, Mr. D. G.. Dyer.' :
