NEW RIFLE ISSUE
BRITISH ARMY TROOPS DAGGER-TYPE BAYONET (British Official Wireless.! (2.15 p.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 7 The British Army is being equipped with a new type of rifle which, when fitted with a new type of dagger bayonet, reduces the weight of the rifleman’s armament. The King inspected troops equipped with the weapon during a tour of the Eastern Command and also watched new methods of training.
