R.A.A.F. RAID KOEPANG
AERODROME BOMBED (11.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, April 20. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, announced that Royal Australian Air Force bombers raided Koepang, Dutch Timor, on Saturday night and dropped high explosive and incendiary bombs on the aerodrome. Although heavy calibre anti-aircraft fire was encountered, all the bombs fell in the target area. Enemy fighters which attempted to intercept our bombers as they were leaving were driven off.
