WOMEN DRIVERS
WANGANUI AMBULANCE
(Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day.
In order to meet the wartime difficulty in replacing male drivers, the committee of the Wanganui St. John Free Ambulance is to utilise the services of women.
At a meeting of the committee last night two women drivers were .appointed to replace two men who had resigned, and it was decided to appoint 12 women members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary transport section to the ambulance auxiliary.
