TAKING TOLL IN CHINA
INDIAN BLACK SICKNESS (Reed. Nov. 28, 2.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 27. Reports from China state that Kala Azar, India’s black sickness, has broken out in China and is taking a heavy toll of life in the Anhwei prVovince. The disease is caused and transmitted by an infected sandfly bite, causing 50 per cent, mortality.
