TRANSFER OF INTEREST POSITION EXPLAINED An erroneous impression has been created by the report in last evening’s issue referring to a proposed transfer by the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company, Limited. of a half-interest in the Kaiti freezing works to another company. The true position is that- the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Company has transferred a one-half interest in the works to another company, but has retained the remaining half-interest, so that each company now owns a half-share in the works. Pursuant to this transfer, formal application was made to the Gisborne Harbour Board, as landlord of the freezing works site, for its approval of the deed of covenant subjecting the joint owners to the terms of the lease.
