OBSTRUCTION OF POLICE TEACHER SENTENCED (Per Press Association.) » WELLINGTON, this day. In sentencing John Willetts, aged 19. a schoolmaster, to three months’ hard labour for obstructing a police sergeant in the execution of his duty by attempting to address a street meeting after being told to desist, the magistrate, Mr. J. L. Stout, advised Willetts, who had* pleaded guilty and said he knew what he was doing, not to imagine he was being a martyr. “The people being the martyrs are those fighting for you overseas,” said Mr. Stout.
