SENTENCED TO DEATH
FIVE DUTCH CITIZENS R.A.F. FLYERS AIDED (Reed. Aug. 19, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 18. A Berlin message says that General Christiansen, German Governor in Holland, announced that a courtmartial had passed sentence of death on five Dutch citizens for aiding . six members of the crew of a British bomber to escape. The bomber was forced down in Holland on August 8 and the airmen, who were captured the same day, were found wearing civilian clothe:, and carrying money and food.
