WANG GUARDS KILLED
ATTACK IN NANKING (Reed. Aug. 19, 10 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Aug. 18. It is reliably reported that three of the bodyguard of the head of the puppet government, Mr. Wang ChingWei were shot dead and a fourth wounded on Saturday at Wang’s home in Nanking. It is reported that the Japanese, who doubted Wang’s trustworthiness, inspired the attack, reports of which are not confirmed by the Japanese authorities.
