JAPS. IN THAILAND
INCREASING NUMBERS (Reed. Aug. 19, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 18. Reports from Bangkok state that the Japanese are entering Thailand in increasing numbers and are to be seen thronging the parks, restaurants and more expensive seats in the cinemas, which formerly were occupied by Europeans. It is officially denied that Britain demanded control of the railway to Aranya Pradesa, 150 miles from Bangkok.
