UNAWARE OF OFFER
KINDERGARTEN’S MENTOR PURCHASE OF COLT (Reed. Aug. 19, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 19. Interviewed last night, R'. S. Bagby, trainer of Kindergarten, said he was not aware of any substantial offer being made for Kindergarten. When the horse left New Zealand, he had heard that an offer of £25,000 was going to be made, but nothing ’had eventuated. He was unable to say whether Kindergarten’s owner, now in New Zealand, would entertain a lucrative offer.
Representative owners here say it is quite unlikely that anything above £19,000, which was the record price pa.d for 'Talking, would be forthcoming for Kindergarten.
