MAORI ENTERTAINMENT
(Herald Correspondent.) Several Maori soldiers on leave were entertained recently in the Waiparapara dining-room, Tokomaru Bay, by members of the Hokowhitu-Atu entertainers. There was a large attendance. as it was also the third of a series of euchre parties arranged by the entertainers. Each of the soldiers was presented with a small gift by Mrs. P. Kopua, president of the entertainers, while Mrs. S. Te Ohaere. president of the Tokomaru Bay branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers,’ 'Union, presented each soldier with a pay-book cover and a hussif. Later several items were given by the entertainers.
