HOCKEY REP. GAMES
NAPIER TRIP NEXT WEEK TWO TEAMS TO TRAVEL The Poverty Bay Hockey Association last night decided to accept August 30 as the date for the Lady Carroll Shield challenge match against Napier and also to send a men’s teem to play Hawke’s Bay on the same day. In view of the coming shield game, it was decided to play a further women's trial on Saturday afternoon. The women’s competition games were set down for 1.15 p.m., and players in the previous trial are to report to the selectors following the competition matches so that teakns for the trial can be arranged. The team to travel to Napier wiil be selected after the trial game. Saturday's games were set down as follows: — Women.—Waituhi v. Awapuni, No. 1 ground, 1.15 p.m., Messrs. B. Hart and U. Graham; Y.M.P. v. Kia Ton, No. 2, 3.lft p.m., Messrs T. Turbitt and G. Tupara ; trial game. No. 3, 3.30 p.m., Messrs. (». Corbett and A. Cassia. Men.—Caledonian v. Foresters, No. 1 ground, 2.30 p.m., Messrs. 0. Burkiushaw and G. Corbett; United v. Waituhi, No. 2, 2.30 p.m., Messrs. A. Cassia and B. Hart; Wesley and High School, byes. Boys.—lntermediate A v. High School C, No. 1 ground, 10.30 a.m., Mr. Brownie; Intermediate B v. Intermediate C, No. 2, 10.30 a.in., Mr. Turbitt. Girls.—Kia Toa Red v. Kia Toa Blue, No. 1 ground, 11.15 a.m., Mrs. Watts; Kia Toa White v. Central, No. 2, 11.15 a.m., Mr. Turbitt.
