Miss N. Moody was hostess at a very enjoyable dinner party held recently at the Te Puia Hotel. The guests included Misses B. Oates, E. Thompson, and L. Neilson, Messrs, R. Oates, N. Atkinson, and R. Bunckenberg. Miss N. Sharpe was the guest of Mrs. Atkins, Ruatoria, last week-end— Mr. R. Bunckenberg, Wellington, spent last week-end in Te Puia.—Mr. and Mrs. T. Houston were recent visitors to Gisborne.—Dr. and Mrs. H. Weeks, Tolaga Bay, are spending a holiday at the East Coast spa.—Mr. J. Corbett, Napier, and Mrs. J. D. Vaughan, Wellington, were recent visitors to Te Puia.—Mr. and Mrs. C. Goldsmith, Ruatoria, visited Te Puia for a short holiday recently.—Dr. H. Short, Wellington, was a guest at the East Coast spa hotel during the week.—Mr. and Mrs. t. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. E. Rouse, visited Gisborne during the week-end.—Mr. A. Haisman, Te Puia, was a week-end visitor to Gisborne.— Mr. and Mrs. T. Conole, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Conole, Mr. and Mrs. J. Alexander, Lance-Corporal J. Conole, Tokomaru Bay, and Miss Helen Begley, Hastings, were gudsts of Mrs. A. J. Grant during the week-end. A bride evening was held at the residence of Mr. A. Micheal on Saturday, and a jolly time was spent by all. A tasty supper was served by Mrs. A. Micheal.
