TE KARAKA BOWLS
CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING (Herald Correspondent.) At the annual meeting of the To Knraka Bowling Club Mr. A. Clayden presided and prior to commencing business a vote of condolence with Mr. J). Craill in the death, of his father was recorded. A very satisfactory position was shown in the report and balance sheet. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. C. Bull; vice-president, Mr. H. Buckingham; secretary, Mr. E. K. Wilson; treasurer, Mr. A. Clayden; green superintendent, Mr. W. Greggan; delegate to Poverty Bay centre. Mr. M. Doyle; general committee, all these oflicers, with the addition of Messrs M. D. Manuel and H. Lougher; auditor, Mr. J. G. Appleton: umpires, Mesesrs. W. Greggan and A. E. Buckingham; selection committee, Messrs. A. Clayden, H. Buckingham, and C. Bull; haudicapper, Mr. A. Buckingham; games committee, Messrs. H. Buckingham and A. Clayden; press correspondent, Mr. W. Luttrell; green-keeper, Mr A. Buckingham. It was resolved to open the season on the Saturday following the centre club’s opening. The usual club competitions will be held during the season, and club rinks will be played on the some conditions as last year in regard to ttie selection of teams. Appreciative reference was made to the valuable work performed by the retiring secretary, Mr. C. Bull, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him.
