DISTRICT GOLF TOWN CLUB’S RESULTS Golfers had a good week-end in the matter of weather, and all the town clubs' courses were well patronised. Tournament play and challenge matches provided the main interest on the respective links, results from the clubs being as under:— POVERTY BAY CLUB Match-Play Handicap Tournament.—Second Round: J. S. Dow had a comfortable win from 11. Simpson and T. Tangney. Four-Bail Bogey.—T. Bayliss and F. Dobbie, 3 up: T. Smiler and N. Halbert, 2 up; 1). A. Wells and P. H. Dow, 2 up. Intcr-club Play.—An enjoyable return visit was paid by men players from the Turanganui club over the week-end. Matches were evenly contested, and Park club players won five to three. TOKOMARU BAY CLUB Senior and junior championship games were commenced on the Tokomnru Bay links at the week-end. In the game between Short and Fairlie very fine golf was produced, Short breaking the course record of 6G by doing the round in 64, Fairlie taking G 7. Par for the course is 65.
