GREEK KING’S ESCORT
Previously reported missing, Private J. W. Sanders, of Thornton, Whakatane, who was one of the party of New Zealand soldiers who escorted King George of Greece during the evacuation, is now reported a prisoner of war, according to private advice. A friend who escaped from his captors has written stating that he saw Private Sanders among a party of prisoners who were being guarded by German soldiers.
